Wandering around Funkhaus Berlin with a roll of Ilford Delta 100
Funkhaus Berlin (originally Funkhaus Nalepastraße) was the radio station of the GDR from 1956 until 1990, and then more recently as a music production and performance venue. In its current state the grounds are a mix of renovation, modern conversions, and complete abandon.
What was planned to be a high contrast B&W shoot, ended in a surprisingly pleasing grey rendering of Soviet Berlin. Leaving the house on the beautiful sunny day that it was, I decided to load up with a 100 speed monochrome film. Unfortunately upon arrival it was totally overcast with no signs of changing... I decided to shoot the roll anyway!
